Best Little Whorehouse in Montana

The derelict remains of the 19th-century Pair-a-Dice ("Paradise") House Saloon, with casino and brothel, in Fort Benton, Montana. The madam, and her gals, took turns standing in the open door of the second floor brothel beckoning Missouri River steamboat travelers, mostly miners bound for the Virginia City (Montana) gold rush gulches. A lamp was hung on a hook located above the door to illuminate the feminine wares. This brothel faced away from Second Street with access down the alley on the left. Sadly, this historic building is scheduled to be demolished later this year due to the owner's neglect. Photo taken July 2013.
