Description
Two proud bus drivers stand by a White Motor coach at Logan Pass, on the Continental Divide, in Glacier National Park, Montana USA. Between 1936 and 1939, White built the park’s iconic red-with-black trim tour buses. The fleet of red buses is considered the oldest intact fleet of passenger carrying vehicles anywhere in the world. These 17 passenger convertible touring sedans are more than a mere means of transportation for locals and visitors - they are cherished, elegant icons of Glacier National Park. The U.S. Park Service hires retirees as bus drivers for their driving skill, wisdom, and knowledge of the park's natural history. Photo taken July 2013.
